The truly remarkable tale of POW professor Alex Kerr

It is with great sadness that we announce that ‘the truly remarkable’ Alex Kerr passed away on the 30th December, aged 97. WWII pilot, POW, Professor, author and recipient of the Order of Australia his legacy is one of bravery, . His motto was LW — life’s wonderful — and the impact of his years as a prisoner never left him. “You come to know your fellow human being,” he said. “You also realise a lot about yourself. I realised there was no limit to the things you can do as long as you knuckle down.” Alex you will be missed. Rest in Peace.
