Sean’s journey to first time published children’s book author has taken a mere forty five years, collecting plenty of life experience through international travel, parenting, varied work experience and study along the way.
Sean has written and produced real stories and profiles for programs such as ABC Radio National, The Sports Factor and Racing and Sports Australia. He also writes about horse racing on a weekly basis.
He works as a reading group leader at his daughter’s primary school each week and over the last few years has developed a cache of child friendly stories including his upcoming debut There’s a Magpie in My Soup and the sequel There’s a Koala In My Kitchen. He also has plans to publish other stories including The Camel Who Loved Caramel, The Best Clouds Come at Night and What’s On Your Clothesline?
Sean has experience across a wide variety of publishing platforms including success in developing successful materials for use by mainstream media, speech writing, social media output, reports and public speaking by state government Ministers.
Having grown up in a creative writing environment fostered strongly by his father, Sean developed a great love growing up for the likes of special poets such as Kenneth Slessor and Robert Frost.
He is an avid reader and attends literary events in his home city of Wollongong whenever his schedule allows.
Sean “Faz” Farrar lists his main writing goal as… “to give my creative voice the best opportunity I can to be shared with a wider audience”.
